Lets Talk Social Housing
At the June meeting of the PCA, Kate Kerkin Consultant to CoGG spoke about Council’s development of a Social Housing Plan 2016-31. The plans will analyse current and future social housing needs across the region, provide a profile of current and future population groups who are most at risk of homelessness; document the current service sector responses to homelessness, social and affordable housing; outline various ways in which Council can influence the development of social housing; identify Council and State Government owned land that could be considered for potential social housing projects, and provide recommendations for an appropriate statutory planning implementation model. A community forum will be held on Thursday, 20 June from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Entry is free. To see further details click on this link and if attending, don’t forget to register.
